2020 Grand Marshall

Sandy Chandler will be the Grand Marshall of the 44th Colorado River Round Up presented by the Colorado River Medical Center on April 3 and 4. Sandy's volunteer work at the Needles softball fields has kept those fields maintained and ready for play for years. We appreciate his long-standing assistance at the Needles Rodeo Grounds and support of the Needles Rodeo Association. He and his family, wife Susan and daughters, Abby and Alex, are loyal community supporters of other organizations and events and we thank and recognize him for all work and efforts in Needles.

We are proud of our local rodeo!

The Needles Rodeo Association is preparing for the 44th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo presented by the Colorado River Medical Center set for Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th, 2020.  Our Board Members are volunteers who work hard to give the tri-state area the only local rodeo. Our board members grew up in Needles and went to the Needles Rodeo every year.  We try to continue the tradition that we have all enjoyed for the past almost 43 years.  It is our hope that you and your children and grandchildren will leave the Needles Rodeo with the same fond memories that we have.

Thanks to our sponsors who support us year after year. Because of their support and other generous donations, we are able to put needed monies back into the tri-state youth organizations.  We also give scholarships to area high school seniors.

The Colorado River Round Up Rodeo is a GCPRA sanctioned rodeo.  We are a non-profit organization and all contributions to the Needles Rodeo Association are tax deductible.

For more information to sponsor this year's Needles Rodeo, please contact Judy Thornton at 760-333-5255.

The Needles Rodeo Association sincerely regrets that the 44the Colorado River Round Up set for April 3 and 4 has been cancelled at this time. We are complying with the State of California and San Bernardino County orders to cancel events of 250 people or more for the safety of our rodeo fans, contestants and volunteers. It is our hope that the order will be lifted by the end of this month enabling us to proceed with our rodeo. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for always supporting the Needles Rodeo Association.
